A couple weekends ago we were down near Madison helping out my girlfriends great grandpa on his farm. Doing clean up and such and he was giving my girlfriends step dad an old International B. It starts right up and runs like a top. It has been well taken care of in its years. We haven't look at the serial number yet but it's from the 1930's

While we were down there he was giving us some other stuff (metal frame for our butcher shop table, old antique farming stuff, old sleigh and just some random stuff). He came up to me and he was like "I would like you to go in the garage and take that box of old reels home with you". I was very happy and said thank you multiple times. When I was briefly looking through the box I didn't really know what I was looking at but I knew there were some really old reels in the box.

Now that I have gotten the time to do some research on some of the reels I have found that 4 of them were the very first model that Zebco made between 1949 and 1954. The name of the reel is called the Zebco Standard. The first standards had a black spinning reel (1949-51) and then they came out with the red spinning reels (1952) and then with the tan spinning reels (1953-54).

I have two with red spinning reels and two tan ones, now I am probably going to build a case for these and someday hopefully find one with a black spinning reel. Unfortunately I don't have the original boxes but that doesn't matter they are still very cool and I learned some new history.

Picture below is my girlfriend and I on the B. This was the first time she had ever drove a tractor.

For some reason tapatalk isn't letting me post pics I'll have them up in a few

I should also note that the International B has been on the family farm since it was new. I believe it was her great grandpas dads or grandpas first tractor. I am not for sure which.

Great Grandpa must have liked you pretty well. Good deal to have old stuff like that.

    Very Cool!!

I use my Grandpa's Farmall H when working on the large foodplots. Got it from him much the way you got yours. Not nearly as pretty as yours, but runs like a top.
