I wish Realtree would do a retro release and come back out with their original pattern. It is quite simple, but I really like the pattern.

I know Mossy Oak did something similar with their Bottomland pattern.

I use/prefer Realtree AP, but only because it matches my hunting terrain better than anything else. If I lived and/or hunted somewhere else I'd probably use, and prefer, something different.

I use Realtree most of the time. Just looks better to me. That being said I don't mind using Mossy Oak.

yes, but you do know they see shapes and patterns right?

depth and definition of shapes and just the right amount of open space in the camo for your location is what really matters in a camo. im sure someone can go into grater detail on this

I use Realtree AP just because I think it looks better. I know it doesn't matter and blah blah blah but thats just what I prefer.

I was a big Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity guy for a while but have since switched to Realtree AP just because everything comes in Realtree AP. There isn't much that doesn't come in a Realtree version. My bow, hats, facemasks, gloves, fleece top and bottom, boots, release, arrows, everything. Plus I think it looks good. Like everyone else is saying, to each his own.

Exactly. Just google "what deer see" and you'll get a ton of info. In the few articles (can't think of em off the top of my head else I'd post the links) I've read, research shows that deer see the low end of the light spectrum: ultraviolet, violet, and blue; very well. They do not see green very well, and they basically can't distinguish red and yellow. That is partly why camouflage is made up of tree, grass, and foliage. But like Pearce said, it's also about the definition of the pattern and the placement of the items within. You have to break up your figure using what's around you. That might be trees, plain's grass, or rushes and cattails. The DEC has some info on it and Wikipedia is always useful.

The new Realtree Xtra looks really good! I'm updating all my clothing to that this year.

I am 15 and I wear whatever works. My dad wears Mossy Oak but I uncle wears mix match patterns. To be honest my uncle normally sees and kills a lot more deer. I don't think the pattern is all that important.

Seems I've been busted more with Mossy Oak Break up Infinity that with Real Tree AP but, that may be due to the part if the season I use each in or how I use to hunt.

I honestly don't think it really matters to be honest though.

Realtree without a doubt for me. Mossy Oak has always seemed way too dark for me and a narrow band of patterns. Realtree has a broad spectrum of choices.

I generally prefer Realtree APG but they all fit and work well together. I even have the interior of my pickup in APG.

Realtree for deer, mossy oak brush for coyote without snow and natural gear snow when its snowy out. I am really liking multicam, wish some of the hunting clothing manufacturers would use this instead of just bdu style stuff.

I just bought some more camo. I'll be in complete realtree. From hat to gloves to boots and everything in between.

I can't believe no one has given any love to the sweetest camo pattern Mossy Oak every threw out there - Fall Foilage. That was a sweet pattern.

Nowadays I typically roll out in Realtree, but I actually like going with the Realtree jacket and Mossy Oak Treestand pants. Just trying to break it up a little more. I've done a little hunting out west and used a lot of both KUIU and Sitka stuff and just ordered the new Sitka early season whitetail pants so I'll be hitting the woods in Sitka's camo this fall. I'm anxious to see how it works in the trees, it seems to do well on the ground...
