While I was at the very south end of my property and said she was out of town and some people wanted to look at our place in 2 hours. Wondered if I'd show it for her. They're supposed to be here any minute now. If they buy, I wonder if she'd like to knock a grand or so off her commission???

Good luck, Iowa. I would have bought a place like that for a price like that a long time ago if it was around here.

I'm not sure what to tell you regarding the commission...but a good realtor would normally have another agent who covers for them when they are out of town rather than ask a customer to do their job for them.

Buyer works for Pheasants Forever and spent 1 1/2 hours here. We'll see.

I haven't seen that many pheasants around here right now.

Realtor called and the people who looked at it for 90 minutes yesterday said they liked the place but the soil quality wasn't good enough. Not sure what they intended but there really isn't any tillable soil here...

They may want to raise pheasant and from what i gather, the soil has to be right for them.

To burn off some frustration, I went and cleaned up the firebreaks in the oak savannah and found some new major trails the deer are using. Located a good stand location and will be moving the doublewide over there this afternoon.

I have a couple two person stands. They're my doublewides. Although if you could get a house trailer up there might be nice to do some redneck hunting out of a recliner while watching football.

Hey Iowa, I think we almost bought a house across the road from yours two summers ago. It had a pond and about 18 acres? Maybe not. It was on a rock road in Chariton. Not to far from a highway.

Yep, it was for sale. The guy that sold shot a 160"+ buck every year right there in his back yard.

Soil quality?... Really? Maybe what they meant is they want something cheaper... You know like "dirt" cheap. Hang in there, it will happen at the right time. I wish we lived there... I'd be interested. Know any good Baptist Churches needing a Senior Pastor? LOL
