    Fast Ryde- Top Down... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yCYk8p_SGM

Seriously? Your not T-Pain so you probablly shouldn't have the voice thingy... its country, its not rap.

    Nickelback- This Afternoon... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbP1K-bQB6g

Really? This is country? Really? This has been getting played on GAC or CMT.... I am close to boycotting simply because these toolbags are the furthest thing from country.

    Uncle Kracker- Smile... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffej15-Dgl0

You sir... are definetly not "cooler than the flipside of my pillow"... your friends with Kid Rock who for some reason thinks he is the most "country" guy in the world even though he is just a drunk/druggie. Go back to your pop crap music and leave country to the real men.

Really... over the past couple of months there has been a big jump in terrible country music.

This is where you're wrong. The above posted songs are not country music. It's ****ty pop that couldn't even make pop, but the music industry knew the city teeny boppers would gobble it up because they think it's "cool" to be a city girl and listen to country. Throw some Waylon in their car and I promise you these pukes wouldn't have a clue who it was.

On the contrary I have seen a lot of good country music lately. Eric Church, Josh Thompson, Luke Bryan, and Jamey Johnson just to name a few.

I agree, none of the 3 are "country" but Number 1 with the T-pain voice thingy was the worst.

I'd like to add Don't Take the Girl to the list. That might be the worst song ever, regardless of genre.

It sounds like it was written in a 4th grade music class. Add in Timmys voice and its the suckiest tune ever.

Country? Give me Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and some Hank Jr anyday.

Country with a harder edge? How about some Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker, and in today's era: Travis Tritt.

I can't stand the country-pop of today. It drives me crazy! Either they are trying to rip off Jimmy Buffett and his laid back beach music, or they are whining like a teenage girl who didn't get a prom date!

No kidding... the first few times I heard "Don't Take The Girl" I thought it was a joke...

SWORE it was a parody by someone like John Boy and Billy or something. Took a week or so for it to sink in that that was a real bona fide song.

Weird, because I think Tim has a good voice on a lot of his other songs, but that one definitely didn't hit me right when it came out.

Lets face it, there is hardly anyone out there making any true country music! I'll probably get bashed for saying it but I am sick of hearing guys such as Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney! There music is far from country to me anymore??

I mean godbless Toby Keith for standing for our country but it seems all he can sing is ridiculous music that has no tune to it lately. Kenny Chesney, well I dont know what happened to him. He used to be a favorite of mine, but for the past couple years its annoying to listen to him!! Also what is up with 90% of the lady country music singers, its FLAT OUT JUNK!!!

We need some more people like Jason Aldean, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan. Its pretty much these guys that consistantly make decent music worth listening too!

I could name numerous people such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Chris Young, Etc... that make very good music but it never really makes it bigtime! Why...?? It probably has something to do with everything is leaning toward the Pop/HIp style side of Country that appeals to the much younger crowd??

AGREED! Cross Candaian Ragweed is one of my all time favortie bands. Another band, similiar to them is Reckless Kelly, love their stuff. There are very few artists of today that i'll listen too, mostly Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Randy Houser, Rhett Atkins, some Blake Shelton and Trent Tomlinson.

I get so sick of the current trend of "my girlfriend broke up with me today" songs. What country boy cries over that? means more money for hunting:nana: At the top of my all time hate list is Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban...

I sort of like country although, as my husband tells me, it ain't what it used to be.

I have my complaints though. Songs like "Small Town Southern Man" and "A Country Boy Can Survive" make me want to spit up. Get real for cryin' out loud. And then there's this thing about how girls are going to get turned on because you have a truck. You want to know the one thing a man can have that turns a girl on? A JOB!

And then there are the songs about tequila. I get a pain in my tail every time I hear a song about tequila. Listen up, this is America. If we sing about drinking it should be about drinking whiskey or beer. Okay, vodka, sake, and rum also gets consumed in our home, but we don't sing about it.

And real men don't drink Margaritas. Those are for girls.

    :sheep:
    Just her humble opinion(s)

I'm not a "true" country fan by any means, but I can tell you that anything made by Rascall Flatts is pure garbage. It pains me to think of how much money those clowns have made by making some of the worst music in the history of mankind.

Top Down is not bad if you have the sound turned off :D
...otherwise that might be the worst thing I've heard in a long time (T-Pain, that funny!)...and I had no idea that Nickelback has been promoting that as country :bash:

I was raised on John Denver and Jim Croce...still enjoy busting those tunes out. (and people thought Garth Brooks was edgy in his day...)

Let's just add anything sung by Tim McGraw and his personal body guard Faith Hill. Just the site of those two will make me turn the channel everytime.
