    Most spikes I see are that tall in my area.

    we have a lot of spikes that tall and a little taller in our area.

    Check this spike out on my property....taller and wider than his ears. With the right amount of food and vitamins, they can turn out to be impressively ODD 1-1/2er's

    my second buck had 15" spikes. (He's on the wall at my dad's or I'd post him.)
    Last year we had pics of a little guy with darn near 20" spikes in velvet. Had dozens of pics of him up until he started shedding the velvet; then never saw him again.

    Thats pretty average for a Spike. I have seen pics with some that are much longer.

    Thats a cool one Dwayne! I passed on a 5 and half year old spike a few weeks ago...wish I hadn't right about now and I don't have pics of him...but I do have a pic from the neighboring town that people believe he is the son of the deer I passed. He actually splits on his right side, but daddy was just two spikes just like these and similar to the one you just posted...pretty cool!
