I try not to eat anything unless I'm sitting all day. On all day sits, I just bring stuff like a ham sandwich, fig newtons, coffee, water and mixed nuts. Food has such a strong smell to it that it's hard to pick something scentless, so I try not to worry about it since I'm playing the wind anyway. Nothing crunchy and nothing that has some insane smell like sardines or a tuna sandwich though
I do all day sits quite a bit now the rutt is aproaching, I don't eat or drink as it causes me to want to pee or #2, matter of fact I don't eat the nite before. Cliimbing down to do #2 is a pain and man it stinks up the bush . Nothing in it's right mind would come around after me doing that, LMAO. Good luck conqouring your thirst & need for food! Rocky
I don't take food, as my longest sits are four hours max. I sometimes take a piece of candy or two - but not actual food.
I rarely do all day sits either, sometimes on morning hunts I'll take a granola bar to take the edge off.
If I'm doing an all day sit, I try to take something that doesn't have an unnatural scent for the woods. I like to take mixed nuts, an apple, something along those lines.
A tin of Copenhagen and a bottle of sweet tea is all I need. On rare occasions I'll bring the premade peanut butter crackers.
