Really close to buying my piece of heaven on earth (UPDATE - NOW OWN) As some of you have read, I've been pursuing hunting land pretty hard. Well, I thought I would share some pictures and an update of a piece that I think is "the one". The land is halfway between Antigo and Wausau. Adjacent to the 80 acres also has another 120 acres of public MFL land that is landlocked for public access. So only the adjecent land owners can access that 120 which includes me. I am not going to publicly post an aerial photo till I actually own it but here are some pictures I have from walking it. It has logging trails to make easy access to most parts of the property as well as a pond. I've checked to make sure it is buildable since I plan on putting a 1200-1500 sqft cabin on it. I'm hoping to present an offer to purchase by the end of the month and hopefully own it sometime in November.

This is HUGE news! Brad, I really hope you make it happen and that you are able to enjoy the land in November when the deer are on the move. This could be bigtime!
That's awesome man! Can't swing it on my enlisted military salary, plus a family and a mortgage (bought it planning on staying here then plans changed) and it's basically pointless to buy knowing that I'll be leaving shortly after, but it will happen someday! Good luck bud!
Thanks guys. I'm not sure I will be owning it and be ready to hunt it by the November rut. We will see I guess. I'm just hoping everything goes through as planned and I can all of next year to get ready for the hunting season.
Well, I now have an accepted offer. Closing on the property is November 11th!!!! I will soon be a land owner. I can’t wait.
