Thanks for sharing! I was wondering when I will begin hearing the "bar stool biologists" attacking the DNR and Dr. Kroll again. Looks like it will be in June sometime.

Durkin?? Pffft. He really is a laughing stock in WI. His comments of “when it comes to managing deer in WI, when in doubt, keep shooting” cemented what the hunting community has long known about his tedious tantrums. He is the last voice the deer hunting community gives any credence to. He talks about complaining yet he sits atop the list of the biggest complainers in WI.

As to his lamenting baiting. Any talk of banning baiting is really only talk of banning one method of the delivery system for placing bait. Certainly Durkin wants 2 gallons of beets placed on a 40 banned but no doubt endorses an acre of beets being grown by a hunter to attract, congregate and advantage a deer hunter in harvesting deer. If a land owner does not have the topography for bait plots, he will suffer next to neighboring landowner/hunter who grows his bait. All that will be accomplished is a shifting of the conflict between those who are legally allowed to grow bait vs those that cant pour bait. Durkin profits (in his stories) from hunter conflict. It gives him something to wail about (filling his pockets in the process) Nice work if you can get it.

Actually, could not disagree more about Durkin. He has forgotten more than you know and will ever know. Was it not comments like this that got you banned from Bowsite???

Your comments on food plots being the same as baiting are also old.
