For someone who is just getting into bowhunting and archery in general, which is better: buying a bow that is ready to shoot/ ready to hunt or buying the base model and adding accessories?

It just all depends on how serious you'll get. I feel the setups can be a really good for someone who is starting out that's not really serious bout bowhunting. But IMO, what usually happens is that a person buys the setup, they get their bow setup and realize the package isn't the greatest and they want to upgrade. That's the thing you see on a lot of us bowhunters. We upgrade. We want the best and are unsatisfied with the everyday products. At least that's me. I can't speak for everyone else. :tu:

I bought a Diamond RAK (Ready Aim Kill) and the shop gave me credit for the whisker bisket and swapped it out for a drop away. They did the same thing with the sight....so for like $40 more I got a drop away and a better sight. I am not sure if all shops would do that?
