I have rifle hunted since I was 7 and have harvested 9 deer and have been bowhunting 1 or 2 times with no luck. My dad bowhunts pretty seriously so he dosen't really have time to take me bowhunting but he takes me rifle hunting. So im on my own this year! I have a Matthews Mission x3, Gold tip arrows, Im going to buy some Rages, Just bought a range finder, And have a trail cam! I am so pumped for September to get here!!!!!!!!!;)

Nothing like the first deer on the ground with the bow. Take your time an learn what the deer do an where they go in your area. Get you some bino's an start checking those acorn trees in mid August. Don't burn your area up with foot traffic. Locate your self four or five spots where the activity is always good. And hunt those spots at their most productive times.

Good luck! Although I have to warn you, after a bow kill you may just hang up that rifle for good

on a side note, if your dad is a serious bowhunter, why won't he take you out and teach you?
