I have a Jennings Buckmaster 2000. A new string is impossible to find, so I'm considering trading it in. I noticed that Bass Pro has several bows on clearance. I've compared prices and found the Redhead Compounds to be affordable and they have great reviews; however, I would like some reviews for BH members. Has anyone here used a Redhead bow, or know anyone that does?:nana:

I shot the the Kryptik Pro (I think that wasd the name) last year and I nearly purchased it. I believe those bows are manufactured by BowTech. Someone else on here might be able to confirm that? Make sure you shoot it before you make a rush decision, though!

I would just add a 10" to 14" stab with some weight on the end if your worried about it.

I have heard on more than one occasion that they are made by Bowtech. Haven't heard anything bad about them to date. It was one of the first bows I thought about buying. That was before I shot the Hoyt Rampage XT though. That will be the bow I purchase next year.

There's a few of them that have proven to be great bows. Lots of deer fall every year to box store special run bows. Bowtech does make a few of their models.

BowTech does make these. I worked the BP Fall Classic a couple of weeks ago on behalf of Diamond/Octane and boy did we sell a LOT of those Blackout and Toxik packages..........really great bows for the $$$$.

Can't believe you can't find a string. Both pro shops here in town keep them in stock because there is a ton of people who shoot them. I went into one of the stores and he had 3 hanging on the wall to get new strings put on. If you would like I could go by and see where they get them from. Although I guess that is a good excuse to get a new bow.

I have a Redhead Kronik that I bought a few years back. It is made by Diamond/Bowtech and it is a great little bow for $400 (with accessories). I have shot three deer with it. It has a very short ATA and is very light. It's not a speed demon, but it is very quiet.

The only problem is that I think you could find a better bow for this price without the accessories. If you have accessories you might be better off looking at a higher end used bow or a closeout.
