I knew after seeing deer Sunday afternoon, driving by yesterday afternoon and seeing them out, there was no way I was not getting into the stand. Here is the link to the other thread I posted. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=7745 Like clock work, about 5:50 a deer appeared. I could tell it was a fawn, but wasn't sure if it was a button or not. It started working my way and I just kept trying to see if it was a button or not (It had two spots up there but I couldn't tell if they were buttons or just hair). She came out around 100yds from me and working SLOWLY to me. When she got to about 40yds I could tell it was a doe and I was going to try to take her. Right before I shot her, I had another doe walk out, bigger (1.5yr old) but headed the other direction. The doe I was zoned in on picked up pace so I had to rush to range a spot, adjusted my sight, and waited. She came into the opening and the shot fired, hit her high in the spine at 22yds (shot for 25) but caught the offside lung. She crawled off before I could get another one in her. After she disappeared, I had 8 deer appear in the field including a 1.5 yr old buck. None of them came within bow range. Ended up seeing 12 including the one I shot. The doe went 30yds and expired. Pictures from today and her coming into the setup. Sorry for the poor quality, I was by myself this afternoon. EDIT: I also want to add this is the 2nd deer that I have shot with a backtension release (no trigger). Works well, I shoot it the same as I do with my target setup, I utilize a "click".
I actually sold the jeep 2 months ago. Mom totaled my car and couldn't afford to solely drive the Jeep back and forth to school and whatnot.
