Last year when I started videoing or trying to video some hunts, I ordered the widest Predator Camo arrow wraps that I could find and camo'd my camera arm and Sony HandyCam. While it "looked" cool, it stick out. After reading in Andy's (Diesel77) bow dipping thread about the Ultimate Camo tape that they sell, I figured I'd order me some and give it a shot. I am still very seriously considering dipping my Air Raid as Andy's bow looks sweet.

Here is what the camera looked like before.

    Ben,

    Looks good.

That is the EXACT same camera and tree arm that i use, and i camo'd mine up with some realtree gun tape. I switched out the head though for a Orion fluid head, makes things so much nicer!

It's a great little arm for 30 bucks. I don't see it making it past this year without the head upgrade like you said. I like it for what it is. It's lightweight enough too.

Thats why i love it too, simple, light..perfect. And with how light the Handycam is, and the new fluid head, i dont see any reason to upgrade soon (except maybe for HD, but im not $ for that yet)

I hope to see some great video this year Ben

Yeah you were right. It looks a hell of a lot better than the predator. I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with, the camera arm, or how well your lawn looks...

I had that arm as well. Great little arm for the money, but as mentioned the head is worthless. I actually ended up creating my own arm lengths to attach to the base, so all I have left from the original arm is the base, but hey, I like how light it is. :D

That looks sweet and hope you get some good footage this year. The arm will work perfect so long as you don't switch to a very heavy camcorder.

Siman, not sure what kind of computer you have, but before switching to HD cams make sure you have a computer that can handle it. Editing, storing, everything with HD footage is harder and requires more space/capacity. I film in HD half the time, and don't even own a computer that can process it. Seems dumb doesn't it?! lol

If it was a continuous wrap, it would take alot more tape, and if you lined it up and cut it so it was flat every width of tape, it would be extremely time consuming. Also if it was a continuous wrap it would have ridges and wrinkles in it which may cause problems when the arms try and go over top one another. The way he did it just makes it look/work alot cleaner.

Looks great Ben!! Does the new tape leave glue behind if you remove it? I also have the same camera arm and Handycam HD that I need to camo.

To be completely honest, I left the "arrow wrap camo" on underneath for this purpose although there ain't much that Goo B Gone and the like won't clean up anyhow. I wouldn't be afraid to camo any thing plastic or metal with this tape.

I keep telling my wife that it can be taken off.:) It's not, but it could be.;)
