Yeah that will set back soccer broadcasting a while. Trinidad a country of 1.1 million people embarrassed USA soccer, an own goal and then at the end players crying on the field. To be honest with the angst I watched the post game reaction online this morning just for that. Want to be a soccer fan have at it if you aren't embarrassed seen wearing a stupid scarf in the middle of the summer it shouldn't bother you to watch the best the country has to offer get stomped by a 3rd world country.
Wow. You don't like soccer. We get it. But, I could say the same about anyone that plays fantasy football or buys stock in the Packers. Its all about what you enjoy or have been exposed to, or understand. My kids played and continue to enjoy soccer. They don't have CTE either. They are among a rapidly growing fan base. Most of the world could not name a single NFL team. I guess you can always change the channel. For someone that hates soccer so much, you seem to let it rent it an unusual amount of space in your head.
Fletch, part of my problem with soccer is not kids playing the sport. The part I don't like is how it is getting jammed down our collective throats. Wearing of the scarves and chanting and marching into the stadium, just the constant trying to copy europe, the minnesota team hired a british play by play announcer, come on if it is going to be played here make it organic and stand on it's own.
