SORRY< I POSTED THIS ON THE WRONG CHAT: Two years ago I bought a Ravin R-10 so that I could restart my archery hunting. I have arthritus in my hands and some shoulder injury that severely diminish my abilities to pull and release a bow. The R 1-was the best cocking option for me at the time. As many have experienced, I love the bow, I can shoot it well. I have had the common problems with lighted nocks. I have 5, lost one because it did not light, and they are inconsistent on lighting. When they do light, I cannot get them to extinguish, reasonably quickly. I have tried all the " fixes" and I am sure my hands are part of the problem. Just replacing the nocks with luminox seems to be well beyond my hands ability to accomplish. I have been told that Luminox produces a nock for Ravin and that I should replace the string if I go to that nock. ( and not shoot Ravin bolts with that string). At this point, I am not sure about the safety of changing nock and bolts. ( I do think my source is well versed and trustworthy) I know I can't do the Ravin bolt conversion to Luminox due to my hands. Changing the string and such is expensive at best. I am looking for suggestions/ solutions / advise with the nock lighting issues. I have started to consider selling the Ravin, and replacing it with another brand that accepts the Luninox without all the fuss. Love the Ravin, but I can't justify hunting with out lighted nocks and the solutions are not real good for me. I have a source for custom made bolts with Luminox, I don't know the exact price, but they are about the same as Ravin lighted nocks.
