These guys were still together...the 8 stopped for 2 perfect broadsides at 35 yds but I passed- and dang it I couldn't get the camera out(buried in the bag) in time before he got back behind the spruces. he looks real nice in person but wasn't hard to pass as I had seen a beautiful 8 crossing the road(going into the city limits) about a mile away on the way into town to hunt in the morning...18-19 inch spread and 10 inch lus G2s and G3s - awesome for an 8pt here
Cool pic. Hope you get him. Maybe offer him a couple of pasties? I'd do anything to get my hands on some of those again.
Pasty Central in the Keweenaw/Copper Country will ship anywhere in the U.S. - never head thiers myself but have heard they are good...I get mine from the local bakery or convenience store
That 8 would be tough to pass for me...but knowing there's a bigger one in the area makes that a little easier..lol Cool pic Going to try some rattling this weekend also. Good luck with the bigger 8
Thats from a homebrew trail cam on the 29th of Sept at a different stand....They didn't walk in front of the cam this time - I would've seen the flash, as it was the last 20 minutes of day light...ended up staying in the tree til Jen came back from work(1.5 hrs after dark) and had her pull up with the truck so I could sneak out with some sort of distraction - one deer at least was in the garden and one other buck was behind me racking brush with his antlers...still wodering if I didn't get busted by one of them when I finally did get to climb down
