10 being the best, 1 being the worse Mine was a 2, and thats because I didn't die I came home from work Friday after dark and drove home (I carpool to work with my father). I parked it in my driveway and went inside. Saturday at about noon my wife gets out of my truck and says, "Where did this dent come from". I'm thinking door ding, Walmart buggy hit it, etc. To my surprise side of my truck got creamed. From the looks of it someone side swiped it on the street. The dent goes from the middle of my wheel well to right before my tail light and from the top of my truck bed to the bottom. I started brainstorming and I think it was the garbage truck that hit it because the dent is so high and there isn't any construction going on or homes being built. I'm lucky it didn't catch my door. I was parked on the street near my Dad's driveway. Anyway I'm about to call the insurance company and see if I'm going to have to pay my $500 deductible. The wife and I finally got a little money in our pocket and now some of it's gone. I'll post some pics tomorrow Freakin idiots Rant over
Sorry to hear Jim. I had almost the same thing happen to me last summer (not quite as bad), but it happened to me on my wedding day. The thing that really sucks.....is that it was most likely someone I know or am related to, and they weren't cool enough to leave a note.............. The dent is still there, because it's purely cosmetic, and I figure it's a pickup truck, most have a dent in them anyhow. I have better things to spend my $$$ on then a new bumper cover. ROFL.......
10! Our wrestling team made it to state this year.....we were seeded 4th. we had the #1 seed in the semis and we upseted them, then beat the #2 seed to qualify to state....i also got my 100th win my second match on saturday. and i won my third one so i am at 101 and counting :D
11? I went to my Alma Mata this weekend. One of my teammates from back then was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Needless to say we had a few drinks.:D I do need to change my response to that whole favorite drink thread. First time I've been completely whacked off of Guinness and I have to say I do not like the aftermath.
I gave it a 7. Out to dinner Friday night with the boy, Saturday was a few loads of wood and obtaining first dibs on a 30 plus acre farm with my bother in law and father in law, followed by a nice four wheeler ride. Sunday was church, washing the vehicles and dinner with my brother and his family. All in all it could have been a 9 but I didn't get invited to go the SU with DoePeeSteve.
Damn Jim, that sucks. I rated mine as a 5, nothing too spectacular. Had date night Friday night, then scouted for turkeys Saturday morning, then followed that up with some shopping with the fiancee. Yesterday was just a lazy Sunday. Just an average weekend.
I'll go with an 8. Worked at the fly shop Saturday which was alright, and then picked up my daughter before heading to my parents' place "up north". My brother, his wife and their baby daughter joined us. Sunday morning my brother and I snuck out for a little steelheading on one of our favorite rivers. We put a couple in the net and lost a couple more. Not bad for a couple hours fishing in February. Topped it off by watching USA beat Canada in hockey.
I had what was supposed to be a minor surgical procedure done, Wednesday. Supposed to take 10minutes. I got there (and into the office) at 2:00 (I drove). They called my wife to pick me up @ 5:44.....lol. Had to go back, Thurs. and Fri. Took my last pain killer (I had more....just took the last one I HAD to), Sat. morning. I'd GLADLY have taken the $500 invoice (and my medical bill "might" be $40). I chose the only '1'. Death would be a '0'.:D
Bummer about the crummy weekends Jim and Jeff. I rate mine as a 8. I was up in Chicagoland for most of the weekend (-20), got to visit with my family (mom and Harry just got back from vacationing in Vietnam and Japan). (+10), Beat my brother at wii games (+5) Ate really good food. (+5) Unfortunately, I did get a killer migraine on Sunday. (-10). Came home from Chicagoland in one piece. (+18)
Well lets see Friday night at work I threw a guy out through a closed gate, he had the option to walk out an open gate but got into my face. Saturday night got a noise complaint call, found the door of an Apt kicked in and a guy attacking a girl with a knife, long story short he made the mistake of coming at me with the knife. Both where taken to hospital with him then being carted off to jail with a bunch class 2 felonies So with all that fun I would rate my weekend about a 8:D
I'll go with 8. Friday night hung out with some buddys that were home from college for the weekend. Sat slept in and just hung out around the house. Sat night campfire with some good friends. Sun morning church. Sunday night communtiy group. Not a bad weekend at all!!!
I gave it a 6... I became a certified Ice Rescue Technician and got my National Registry EMT card in the mail...but didnt get to really do the things i "wanted" to do.
I gave mine a 7. A pretty normal weekend for me. Friday night, hung out with my usual crowd until the wee hours of the morning. Saturday, watch the Olympics, studied, and took it pretty easy. Sunday, watch a movie with the girlfriend and went to bed early. All in all, pretty good.
Yeah but the place wont let us carry our weapons, pepper spray, tazer's or battons So I carry a 6 D cell Mag-Lite it comes in handy for more than lighting things up:D
Fun times. Thursday night my propane went out and noone had any baths/showers. Friday I was informed that I had $1200 worth of siding damage to my house via a wind storm. Friday night a pipe burst, leaking all over my basement. Saturday my wife lost her biggest basketball game of the year. Sunday night another pipe burst in the basement. GREAT weekend.
-14 dont' care to talk about it. On a side note I'm glad the weekend is over. To start my new week I walked outside, slipped on black ice and landed hard on my shoulder and wrist. Was going to go hit some balls at the indoor range. Scratched that idea and decided to go work on some equipment at the golf course. Doing some sandblasting, painting, degreasing etc.... Turns out those warnings really mean something. You know the one? Use in well ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure. Avoid eye skin or eye contact etc... So there I am in my shop with the doors and windows closed. Heat cranking. No glasses or respirator. Just working away in a cocktail fog of a bunch of different airborne ingredients. Now I have the worlds worst headache known to mankind and seeing spots out of my contacts. Not to mention the rash on my hands. Oh yeah and I whacked my thumb with a hammer trying to drive a pin out. Still better than the weekend though so I guess I'll stop complaining and have a beer or 10.
I gave it a 2, This weekend has been terrible, Friday night, I get off work the Wife calls to come to her Grandmother's house who Just found out she had cancer of the liver about a month ago.... She passed at 11:05 Friday night. Viewing yesterday for about 5 hours... Stomach Flu hit me this morning around 3am, still made it to the funeral at 11am, got home at 5pm... and now relaxing with a bottle of Pepto and Ginger Ale. Ughhh...
I'm with NYB. Mine was a huge negative!! Saturday was hell. I had milk truck trouble, lots of It too. My day turned Into a 20 hour day. Got to bed at 12:30 AM and back up again at 4:00 AM and put In 15 more hours. If I keep typing you won't understand a thing I say, filters. That's how my weekend went.
