Rate my first stand placement

    I set up my first stand today. It's on private land and is surrounded by corn fields and there is a pond 50 yards from the stand.
    And I am cutting down that branch that is in the way.

    I'm not sure I'd cut that branch down. Unless having it there would prevent a shot in that direction all together, I'd just use it as a natural camo/blind.

    It just looks like it would prevent a shot to me. And there is tons of deer tracks around there and trails intersect there so I'm hoping Itl b good.

    I can't really see what's to the left and right, That's why I qualified it with "unless it would prevent a shot". :rock:

    I bet you see a turty point buck, so you're right.... it needs to come down.. lol

    Looks good from what I can see. Get up there with your bow and draw it back to see what's in the way.

    I totally agree with the "turty point buck" go get em Tiger. jk, it looks like a great spot to me. you hunting it in the morning, evening, or all day?

    Just make sure to leave yourself enough cover to be able to draw your bow without getting busted.
