I set up my first stand today. It's on private land and is surrounded by corn fields and there is a pond 50 yards from the stand. And I am cutting down that branch that is in the way.
I'm not sure I'd cut that branch down. Unless having it there would prevent a shot in that direction all together, I'd just use it as a natural camo/blind.
It just looks like it would prevent a shot to me. And there is tons of deer tracks around there and trails intersect there so I'm hoping Itl b good.
I can't really see what's to the left and right, That's why I qualified it with "unless it would prevent a shot". I bet you see a turty point buck, so you're right.... it needs to come down.. lol
Looks good from what I can see. Get up there with your bow and draw it back to see what's in the way.
