Seems like every time I change locations the ratchet is on the wrong side of the stand. Takes two wrenches to remove both sides and switch them around and most times you don't know which side you want the ratchet on till your at the tree. Anyone come up with a fix for this ?

Get a ratchet strap with hooks?

Never bolted any strap to a stand, and if it came like that I would go buy ones with hooks.

The strap that came with the stand was a 2" X 8' . Can get the one inch but lot lighter weight. The shock weight on most of the narrower ones are not near the 1200 lb of the original. I do use a second strap and helps a lot.

Between my father and myself we usually put up around 10-12 sets a season. I went onto ratchetstraps.com and had 20 2" wide heavy duty ratchets straps custom made just for hanging stands. Now instead of using 2 of the skinny straps, we just use one heavy duty on. Also I had them make the straps short so that you don't end up with 10 feet of extra strap to tuck in when your done.

Good information. Will check them out when I get the stands in and see just what I need. Three different brands so different attaching methods. Thanks for posting.
