steel version. Anyone use these? Wally World has a great price($39) on them with free shipping. Thought I'd leave these up all season and still use my Lone Wolf sticks for mobility.

I have a couple sets of these steel and aluminum. Great steps, easy to hang and sturdy. I think Menards has them for 29

Yup. Just saw them on the web site today. $29 for a 20' set. I have a set & they work great. I will wait until closer to the new year & they will go cheaper yet. (Especially in store).

I have a set of the aluminum ones. I think they are very noisy while climbing.

****s has 4 packs of Muddy outfitter steps on sale for 60 bucks. These are decent steps for the money if you planing on leaving them in the tree for the season. They also have outfitter lite stands for 60 too...
I bought three stands and 5 sets of sticks yesterday.

Last year Wal-Mart had a combo of 3 steel Rapid Rails and a hang-on for $49. I bought one. I recently gave it away to my friend that owns property. The steel rails are nice but very heavy. Not exactly mobile. He can leave them out where I was looking for a mobile setup to supplement my LW handclimber.

I'm with Coop, I bought 2 stands and 2 sets of Rails last season off EBay, giving me 6 total rails, the rails are awesome but very heavy.... I only use them if my Son goes with me, but when I go hunting solo I don't , I use my Gorilla Screw in Steps (as the rails are very heavy even just using 4) I use a strap for the rails and place over my shoulder to lighten the load of them.....

Thanks guys. Might work for me, as I plan on leaving them in the woods all season.

I would buy them and use them in a place where carrying a 20' stick ladder to would be a pain in the ***. Would also leave them up year round and continue to use my LW set for run n gun!

I use them and they are great for weird trees and setting up before season. Like you said though I would use something else for mobility.

We got speed rails from sportsmans guide for a good price but for the life of me I can't find them on the site or the product # in any of my old stuff. We also use these and really like them and a good price as well:

3-Pk. Of Guide Gear Quick Sticks - 1505472, Ladder Tree Stands at Sportsman's Guide

With my speed rails and these type sticks the only thing I change is I use ratchet straps, mainly because I don't like or trust the gator-jaw type straps most come with. Even on my 20' climbing sticks on the very top strap I use a ratchet strap as that top section usually sees more pressure and sometimes side pressure and I have had the gator straps come loose, not fail just get loose and I don't like slop when I'm stepping on and off of something. Personal preference though.

I have the same set you are ordering. I like them. easy to hang and I must be super human cause I dont think they weigh that much at all. I carry my stand, 4 or 5 rails, bow, and waist pack with me when I hunt. And thats public land with at least a mile walk each way. Maybe I'm just use to it....
