I have a cheaper Halo WGI rangefinder. It works great for what I use it for. I only use it when first in stand or in a new spot to get the range of surrounding landmarks, rocks, stumps, etc... once I know the ranges of my surroundings it goes right back in the pack. Don't need to use it after that as I know my surroundings and ranges from then on.

Got mine for $90. Off an eBay store. Works great and is accurate when compared to my fathers Nikon rangefinder. They both are accurate.

I have a Nikon riflehunter 1000. Bought it at cabelas when it was on some kind of special for around $300. I don't think I would call it a necessity, but they are a very useful tool out in the woods, especially if you are not the best with judging distances.

Archer's Choice Rangefinder. Very accurate out to 100 yards. I only archery hunt so it works fine for me.

I bought a Bushnell binoculars and rangefinder combo pack for like 170 at bass pro....both are great and the rangefinder matches up with my father inlaws Nikon which was all of what I paid for both

I have a Bushnell golf rangefinder.

It serves double duty: golf in the spring and autumn, and it stays in my bow case the rest of the year.

I have Bushnell Yardage Pro. Works ok, it`s a little slow to read the yardage.
