I'm lookin into gettin a rangefinder. I was going to buy the Leupold RX-600, its on sale right now at Cabelas for $169 and I have a $20 off at Cabelas. But I noticed it is not waterproof so now I'm lookin back towards the Nikon 550. Staying to stay under $200. What are yalls thoughts? Thanks.

NIkon 550 100%. I love this rangefinder for the money, pretty hard to beat.

The nikon is a pretty good choice for that price. The only thing that I don't like about the archer's choice is that it won't range beyond 100 yards, so if you wanted to use it for anything else... you're stuck.

This is the only downfall. It will range out past 100, but not constantly. I have had mine to 184. If I ever decide to gun hunt out West, I will be picking up another Nikon product, but I don't see that happening. I have been very pleased with my Archer's choice.

I use a Bushnell AC1000. Great rangefinder, ranges out to 1000 yards, so it is great for gun hunting also. I love how it has a archery mode, which tells you the degree you are shooting, and what yardage you should shoot with your bow.
