I'm having trouble finding good reviews on rangefinders.. I was really considering the Bushnell but the reviews dont sound that good. Any advise to steer me to a smart buy is appreciated
I bought my brother a archers choice off of ebay for 220 shipped to canada. It's BNIB. I played with it a little bit and seems to be really good. It has the Id technology which converts all the angles for you.
I've had a Bushnell for almost four years now and I really can't complain with it. I'm not gonna say it's the best thing ever made but mine has always gotten the job done and hasn't failed me yet.
Glad to hear that statement. I bought a base model busnell. It's more or less junk. It doesn't work with any precipitation, but you get what you pay for so no complaints. I usually don't shoot my league in the rain and I range and set mental markers from my stands so it's not a concern. For my needs it works just fine for me. Did wish it had the ARC though...
My leupold has always served me well. 4 years and alot of hunting and it still works like it did the day i bought it.
Has anyone on here ever had any issues with their archers choice not giving a measurement? With the one my brother got we can't get it to give a distance. It just shows the cannot get a measurement thing.
Bushnell Scout 1000 w/ARC, bought it used from a member on another site $160 shipped. It has bow mode to show line of sight and horizontal distance. It also has rifle mode, you put in the round you are shooting, from a very long list and it will show you distance and bullet drop for the rifle zero'd at 100yards. It's small, fast and very light weight too. peace. unloaded
Jay, There is a RESET mode on the 440, may be the same on the "Archers' Choice," check the manual, but for the 440, if you remove the battery, and then hold down BOTH buttons for 30 seconds, it resets the computer in it, and it works again, however, I'll tell you that my 440 never worked the same after the first time it failed on me that first time. I have a Brunton Echo 440, that is decent, and has a lifetime warranty, that I've had to take advantage of once.
I've been using the Archer's Choice for the last year or so and have had no problems with it at all. The only limitation is its range, but I only use it for bow hunting.
