i have the arc 1000. its a nice rangefinder. but like everyone says. if you 20 feet in a tree shooting onto flat land there is no need for the arc but if you plan on going on a hunting trip out west were there are big drops in elevation it is nice to have. also i read that you will only use it for bow but it does come with a bullet drop compinsater for a bunch of different calibers which is very nice

michael pearce,I agree about the eye relief but I got what I expected for 200 bucksAs far as accuracy,it was dead on with my marks in the yard, plus I sight in my pins with my rangefinder.I have the charts and it seems to read right with my charts.Remember, the pathgorean theorum isn't exactly correct. It doesn't factor arc or sight paralax which from what I understand, bow mode rangefinders factor(to a degree),this.

Look at the chart,20 yards in the first line is the line of sight. On a 40 deg incline,it should be shot for 15 yards. My rangefinder is dead on with this chart.I made this chart according to one of my bows on my program.

At 20,this 5 yard difference means nothing in reality if you do like I do and shoot center lungs. That incline requires a high hit anyway and the difference at that distance, will put you dead on where you need to be.

BUT like I stated earlier, shooting a 40 yard shot on a 35 degr slope will be an 8 yard adjustment. It matters for some of us.;)

Oh,I missed a nice buck on a 45 deg uphill shot that was 30 yards from me.I should have shot it for 21 yards to kill it.This was quite a while back before I understood all of this and it cost me a nice ACC arrow. As well as a nice deer.
