Looking for a good rangefinder in the $200-300 ballpark. Any suggestions?

Not in that price range. The two I have owned have been $150 or less. One Bushnell and one Wild Game Innovations. Never seen the need to spend more hunting white-tails with a bow. Both had ARC features.

How well did the Wildgame Innovations work?

It works very well. I have used it through two seasons. When I bought it retail was $125. I caught on sale and with birthday gift card. Ended up paying $60 of my own money for it. It has never failed me. It has held up well in the Arkansas humidity. I accidentally left it my ground blind for ten days. No issues when I went back for it. Only had to change the battery once in the 2 1/2 years I have had it.

This. If you are only bowhunting whitetails, there's really no need for all the bells and whistles. I too have a Halo 600 and it has been all I have needed. Now if you're going out west or something then a better one might be what you need.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

I bought a used Bushnell for under $100 when I first returned to compound hunting from many years of trad. Honestly didn't use it too much as I was used to gauging distances instinctively. I sold that one to a buddy and bought a Leupold RX-750 about the time they were upgrading the model to the 850 and got it on sale. That was about 4 years ago and it has been great in all kinds of weather and temperature conditions. Still on the original set of batteries even. If I was looking today, I would either buy another Leupold or a Sig model that has been gaining in popularity.

I have a Nikon Archer's Choice. I have had it for nearly 9 years and I just now changed the battery in it this year. I don't gun hunt and I don't need to range very long distances. I have ranged out to 120 yards with it. However, the fact that it is for Archery only is perfect for me.

I like a very simple rangefinder that I can use quick. Most of the time when a deer is coming in a don't range it I just know it's by a landmark I had preranged and shoot. But sometimes I do a quick last minute check when it's walking in.
