Rangefinder magnification

    What power/magnification would the Nikon 440 rangefinder be? I sometimes use it as a monocular.

    It's an 8x, a LOT of guys didn't like the 8x, wanted something with a better field of view, and I believe that is why Nikon made the 550 in a 6x giving a little better field of view while still having good magnification to "look" at stuff. If you're in the market, take a close look at the Redfield Rangefinder's, I picked one up a month or so ago, and it has the BEST optics of any rangefinder I've ever tried. :tu:
