Spend a little bit more and get the Nikon Prostaff 5!! I was debating between the 3 and the 5, found the 5 on sale and bought it and havent looked back! Its an awesome rangefinder, accurate, reliable, and the optics are phenomenal! So clear and bright. I get readings past 600yds with it too. It is rugged and doesnt feel cheap like the Prostaff 3, its the same shell as the $300 Archers Choice and prostaff 7, just cheaper and doesnt have ARC (which i dont need). Good luck!

I have the Riflehunter 550 which I love. It has arc and everything and I paid $229 3 years ago. If you can find one I'd get one of these.

I bought a ProStaff3 for this past season and have been very pleased with it. Clear, easy to operate, only fogged up once (COLD and sleet/snow that day).

I have the Halo Z8X it's nice but your on the right track Nikon is the way to go. I would def. buy one with angle intelligence. But nice thing about the halo only 125.

Are you looking to use it strictly for bowhunting? Maybe rifle hunting or using it for really long stalks?

The max would be 100 yards and that's pushing it.

Nikon archers choice. Has the manual orange LED for low light ranging.

I just went through this and bought and returned many highest range finders but went back to the Nikon Archer choice.
