    - I wonder what the old indians and settlers would say if they knew how much time and money hunters spend on hunting, which was a necessity to them but only a hobby to us?

    - Man I love my new Elite bow!

Yeah, those are two very random thoughts :d

I still can't believe I let that non typical 9 point live last fall.

I know I won't let that happen this year.

I hope I kill my turkey this weekend.

I'm glad I'm off work for 3 days!!

I'm grateful to the guys that produce Gray Goose.

I wonder why I don't work harder in the off season to locate more bucks.

I wonder if I ever will.

    - I still think it is much harder to kill a buck here with a rifle in rifle season than with a bow in bow season.

    - I still think a whitetail is easier to kill than a turkey.

    - I still don't care what other hunters think about my thoughts/feelings when it comes to hunting.

    - I wish I could buy a top end BowTech for $600.00 again.

    - It is sad to see how the tradition in hunting is fading away.

    - I thank God that I was raised in a "brown its down", "hunt with every weapon" family, I couldn't imagine (and don't really want to) if I wasn't!

    - For me, Scent control is purely a waste of money.

    - I don't care to make my hunting more difficult, my main goal is to kill an animal and eat it, kinda seems conter-productive to make it harder on myself.

    - The day I find myself putting more work into hunting than enjoyment is the day that I will call it quits.

    - You, the person reading this.... you own the absolute best bow in the entire world. It is the best of the best and no other bow comes close!

The thing that amuses me most about the "hunting" crowd is how few actual hunters there really are.

Seriously, 90% of the guys driving around with a truck covered in deer stickers and decked-out in Cabela's garb from head-to-toe . . . they don't even log 30 hours in the woods in an entire year. I do that in a week. In March. When bow season is still 6 months away.

    Quite comical, really.

They've got the truck, the stickers, the camo, the big buck t-shirts, big buck wall clocks, turkey gobbling ringtones, camo vent visors, the quad, billy bad bass, cabelas mugs, magnets, and every other ridiculous piece of crap you can imagine...

What's the draw? Why pretend to be a whitetail wizard? Chicks don't dig it. It's not gonna get you that big promotion, or an extra week of vacation. Is it some bizarro-world muchismo thing to attract the affection and attention of rival men? Why in the hell would a guy want to pretend to be, or project himself as a great white slayer of animals?

Hell, I do everything I can to keep everyone around me from ever learning that I'm a hunter. LOL

    - why do all the good trees grow in the wrong spots?
    - is Schultzy ever going to get all that wood cut and split?
    - why didn't I fish that awesome trout hole instead of having someone show me all the trout they caught there?
    - if a ram is a ram and a goose is a goose then why is a ram in the pants called a goose?
    - why am I doing this when I should be making out invoices?
    - what was the biggest buck that ever passed by me within range that I didn't see?
    - I wonder if the guy I just fired will give me back my garmin 12 manual?
    - I wonder how long my renters are going to party tonight? (at least they aren't playing rap music)

Door has always been open...beaucoup elk...where is everyone?

It doesn't mean a thing if it cannot be shared (by choice verses "re-distributed")

    An open mind sees more.

Where's the fun in playing against the same team on the same old court?

    LIfe is way too short!

I wonder why I have to argue with an expert about how to hunt land I have have hunted for 30 years. I know where the deer are and I know where they are going to be. Period.

Location is 95% of hunting success.

Archery season is BY FAR the easiest way to kill a deer in NY.

    Age means nothing without pressure.

I don't want to KNOW a deer is going to be somewhere at a certain time.

I want to help my dad drag out a really nice buck before he quits hunting.

Luck plays a major role in deer encounters.......skill takes over from there.

I wish more people understood how carbon works.

If big bucks equal hunting skill then why isn't Tiffany considered one of the best hunters in the world.

    I honestly hate liberals.

Does tagging a nice deer after months of trying make you a really good hunter or a really bad one?

How can someone studying topos, aerials, planting artifically enhanced antler growing crops, watching video surveilance footage 24/7 on his cell phone, using infrared spy cameras, wearing cutting edge technology clothing for warmth and dryness, tracking on a gps, riding an ATV, using high powered optics and a laser rangefinder, artificial deer calls and scents---maybe even bait, shooting a space age bow at over 300 fps launching kevlar arrows tipped with surgical steel.........even say the words "fair chase" with a straight face.

One of the best Statements I've ever seen posted on a hunting board! 10% will understand it, 90% will misinterpret it.

-I wonder if my new hunting spot in Oklahoma will produce bigger deer than I see in East Texas?

-I'm going to have to be careful this year so hunting doesn't put to much of a strain on my new marriage:sheep:

-I hope I can get good at processing my own deer this year:smash:

-Why can't I find a weekend job outside to help save up for a new bow and the wife's dental school tuition:bash:

I also agree that it's easier to kill a deer in NY or PA with a bow during bow season than a rifle during rifle season. Especially a good buck. Once they know they are being hunted, all bets are off.

I wonder if I'll be able to take a full week of vacation in November to hunt this year if we are on a single income

I will spend more time this year hunting in the Adirondack big woods. Less deer, but god it's beautiful up there in the mountains and I'll be closer to home and will have fewer overnights away from home.

I wonder how I'm going to balance home improvement projects and scouting/hunting ground projects this summer. I really have a long list of stuff to do around the house and the list is only getting longer.

I absolutely hate that my favorite place to hunt is 4 hours away from home. I hope someday to live somewhere I can walk out my back door and walk to some prime deer hunting so I don't have to be away from home so much.

For the first time in I don't remember how many years, I don't think I *need* any new equipment to hunt the way I want this upcoming year. I've finally satisfied my desire for more gadgets, and realize that most of them don't put more deer on the ground anyhow.

It sure is RJ. I do some turkey hunting up there and have deer hunted there before. Beautiful country!
