Finally got down to the ranch to pull cam pics. I had (4 cameras set on a 5 minute delay) 1800 pics, 1500 pics, 284 pics and 182 pics in three weeks.
Not overly impressed with horns so far but we have had a wet summer that has created alot of browse, I don't think some of the older bucks are showing themselves yet...

    some of the "other targets"....
these spotted "big" fawns are axis does(we have alot of free range axis on this place-they compete with the w.t.deer:( but...are the best venison you have ever eaten.

Here's a little drop tine buck-that'll prolly get arrowed at the first chance( I let him last year) -he has no brow tines and is at least 3 1/2 yr old now:cry:. He will never have them-therefore he will be culled out. Most of our bucks didn't have brows when we got on this place almost 5 yrs ago-we have been seriously culling them out and we are really seeing a difference now!

There is a 4 1/2 yr old double drop tine 10 point I have seen several times while axis hunting in July-he has 4" drops on both main beams...in July. I don't have any pics of him ...yet. I can't wait to see how long they are by the time he is hard horned.

Is the fence up to keep the hogs out?

The hog panels are to keep the livestock out. It is a working ranch with over thousand head of goats and sheep along with plenty of cattle.

the cows don't seem to care much for corn..the thunder chickens will come in thick at times (I got video footage of 50-60 birds coming in at once-this will mess up your deer hunting in a hurry too!
