I am looking for some thoughts and suggestions. My baby is taking me in to buy my first bow and I am over the moon excited!
I have be researching online for a bit and I think it has come down to my final 2 ~ the Rampage Xt or the Vicxen

Has anyone in bow lovers land tried either and is willing to share your thoughts. I am a 29" draw and can pull 55, just for reference

I sure would love some input before I slap the money down

Last year was my first year of hunting and I started out with a Diamond. (So we didn't spend much if I ended up not enjoying the sport) I shot two doe with it last year. Well, guess what? Now I'm addicted. I upgraded to the Vicxen this year and so far so good. Its a strong bow and I absolutley love it! It shoots smooth and I couldn't ask for better! Best of luck on your decision!!! :o

if you can pull 55lbs and have a 29" draw, you can probably get an even nicer bow yet! I would check out the bowtech destroyers, the Hoyt maxxis, and probably the rytera alien x.

I just got a 2010 Rampage XT for pretty cheap and I'll will tell ya just shooting in the back yard at 20,30, and 40 yards it is a very comfortable bow and extremely quite. I did remove the 180 degree rubber grip because I was torquing the bow alot with all the
"sticky grip". I prefer the side plates and the smaller grip to just rest in my hand when I shoot. I have it set up at 60 pounds and a 28.5 draw. Outstanding bow!! (IMO)

I asked the guy behind the counter at my local bow shop what the difference was between the Maxxis and the Rampage XT, he said, "The color of the cams." Now, I know there is more to it than that, but for $300.+/- less, the same arrow speed, an ounce , or two, more in weight and just as quiet...I bought the Rampage XT. I'm very happy with it. Admittedly, I've never shot the Vicxen to compare.
