Looks like a rainy week ahead here in central Illinois

I've killed enough deer and there are enough days in the season. I don't hunt rain. If there's a chance it'll quit I'm ready or there. We rely on blood trails. I want one. I avoid rain if I can. If I've traveled to some place on a limited schedule I'll do it, but i shorten my shot range according to the amount of rain. If home, I just sit it out. I have all the umbrellas and all that junk... but really.... there's another day. Use a rainy day to gather family suck up points and kudos. LOL

I gave it a try today. I got in my stand at 5:24 and by 5:30 a steady rain had set in until around 8. It let up and started in again by 10 very strong. I tried to get back out later, but my clothes were so soaked that I had to sit out the afternoon hunt and head home.

That is the plan for the Tuesday - Friday this week. Already planned on packing several sets of camo just so I can change when possible.

I'll surely be out tonight, first snowfall of the year! The weather said anywhere from 4-8" today and tomorrow. I stopped by the field this morning and there was still deer in the middle of the alfalfa at 7:00, and I hardly ever even see deer in the morning there
