Weather reports also stated the possibility of thunderstorms today. Which did not happen. Yet the rains came and gave us a good soaking. I decided two days ago that I was not going out opening day. So we shall see what tomorrow brings. It has stopped raining, so I am going out this evening to see if I can find some birds. Wish me luck. Good luck to everyone else this turkey season.

I saw two on Saturday across the creek on another property, watched the neighbor guy lay one out (Shotgun). It was still raining pretty good when they came in. They didn't respond to a hen call, I talked to the neighbor and he said the same thing. Said he was only to get them off a jake call. On Sunday they were gobbling pretty good in after sun came up. They got quiet by 730 though. Maybe the weather has thrown them off and this weekend will be better. I stayed out till 2pm Sunday.
