I sprayed the weeds on my plot on Sat evening. 3 hr later it rained on it, next day rained again and was real cool here in WI. I don’t want to wait a week or 2 to find it didn’t work...thinking I should just re-spray it (but check the weather forecast first). Thoughts? Also...1 gallon mixes only does 300 sq feet. My little kill plot is only about 30 yds square...that’s over 20 gallons. That seems like a lot but I did the math 3 times. Thoughts on that too please!
Next time use this https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...lmWUaHV_oEayg-AgqPAaMYzpgZjhrSUhoC-U0QAvD_BwE But if that were I I would spray again. I like 4+hrs of sun on my burn after I spray.
A lot of the roundup type products needs about 2 hours of drying time before it rains. You might be ok. It should say how long of a drying time is required on the bottle of product. I don't know what product you used but 20 gallons for that size plot seems excessive. I use a concentrate that I mix 3 oz of product per gallon of water. I spray a bit less than 50 gallons of this mix on 2 acres of soybeans. Therefore about 2 quarts of concentrate per acre is used. Using the above product/method, you would need 4 gallons of mix to cover your plot. This is what I'm using http://www.drexchem.com/products/imitator-plus/
So...start a new post...like Too Much Roundup? It was a Bondite product called Kleen-Up...41% glyphosate. The label said 1 gal / 300 sq feet. Weeds are toasted now. I read another post said Roundup doesn’t hang around in the dirt long so I should be ok.
1 gallon of water with 6 ounce product mixed in I think. Either way burned is burned just cost you a little extra.
