    A week ago I was waking on the lake with my father-in-law. Last night we got a huge downpour for about 1.5 hrs, and today the lake opened up!

    I put in two of our docks and one of the pontoons. Made the maiden voyage out on the lake and picked up my trail cam. I'm getting pretty pumped for our busy season to get here, summer will go by fast and then... BAM! Deer season.

    I'm one happy dude!:deer:

    I'm moving back to camp Thursday, but I suspect we'll still have some ice on the lake. Hopefully it goes quick though, I have guests coming Friday to shed hunt and pike fish!!!

    Fitz... you made my week! :cool: Last time I checked the cams on Vermilion and Birch there was still ice.... Now I'm actually looking forward to going! :d
    I was starting to think we were going to have a repeat of last year for a little while.... didn't bother goingm since most were still semi covered within a week of opener...
