Deer are especially mobile right after rain too. Last year on November 15th I was sitting in an all day rain until about 3 pm, after it stopped the woods came alive and everything was moving. Stick it out if it's going to rain like half a day too.

This maybe a stupid question, but if you do shoot, won't the blood trail wash away in the rain?

Call me weird but I love hunting in the rain. It really makes me feel as one with the elements. Once your soaked, it doesnt matter anymore and you start to enjoy it. When you were a kid, did the rain stop you? Not me. We played in it as long as our parents would let us. I'm 49 now and still love it. Can't tell you I've ever shot anything in the rain but give me time. I know. Weird!

I shot my big wall hanger at noon after it rained pretty hard all morning.
Last year I was in stand and it was raining like a SOB. I had my rain jacket on and saw a few does but couldn't get a shot... it was POURING down rain too.

I end up shooting a doe just before the rain came in.
