The land by us is county land. The Canadian railway runs along the highway. On the other side is the county land inaccessible to the public due to the law. The club I hunt with has a cabin where the driveway crosses the tracks, this gives us access to the county land. Like I said earlier it gives us the advantage, but just because we can hunt it doesn't mean there is always a guarantee to kill a bruiser. :tu:

As someone who is uses that area of the mississippi for ice fishing and not hunting, it really kills me that this is happening. Alot of the places i have fished for the last 20 years are now off limits for me. I know this is a bow hunting page, but you have to look at other things too guys. I know guys who got $480 tickets for fishing spots they have fished for 50 years this year. I dont have an air boat or a 4 wheeler to drive on the ice for 5 or 6 miles to get to some of the places i use to fish. I also dont have a boat. This law is making illeagle for people to get to their land, not only public land but private as well. If this was the only land you could hunt because you couldnt aford a lease or your own land wouldnt you be upset too?

The railway in the area that runs East West is all accessible, I hunt private, but he cabin across from us all head down the road during rifle season to the County Land. Can't say for certain about once the tracks turn and run North South.

Maybe, but this is a pointless law. How many hunters were killed by trains before the law? Zero... What is the point of the law? Sportsmen have been crossing the tracks around here for decades to deer hunt, duck hunt, trap, fish, etc with no issues. Why make this law?
