I sadly hope you get FC this year bud....man that'd be awesome! (but I hope you forget to take pictures with your bow for the contest )
No he is 4, he gained a couple more cool non typ points this year and some mass but still doesn't have very good tine length. But I dont think he ever will. I have two other deer, The Backyard Buck and Big Ten who are both 5 this year, and a really cool nontyp that is 4. BB and BT are the two I'd most like to shoot. I am not positive that the Big Ten survived winter though. I picked up his left side the end of Dec and he had lost a huge chunk of skull and I fear he has a brain abcess. I also have his left side from the year before and it didn't shed clean either but wasn't anything like last year. What concerns me most is that deer usually hangs in the same spot till Marchish but dissappeared mid January. I searched hard for his right side (or him dead) and found nothing so I still have hope. I usually don't see him or BB till Oct so maybe he will show up. Also have a a giant 12 that is hangin out at the neighbors right now and he could cross the fence anyday(he is a booner without a doubt). Hopefully, with some luck at least one of them will make a mistake.
I gotcha, big 12 sounds like a dandy! I got a buck that is 5 this year he showed up last year an stuck around. He is a lot like FC he has matching split g2s an this year he has matched split brows. He picked up a lot of mass this year. It's just his overall tine length is way down compared to all the other deer in the area.
Amazing how you can pattern n track deer all day everyday and be shocked when they pop up else where. A lot of guys I know get baffled. I hear, "but he always does this" or is always in the same bedding area. We forget they do have minds of their own and some times do random things. Hope your buck is still on his feet and just expanding his territory.
When should we get this capt n team name stuff over with? From the forum it looks like were behind. Some sessons are startin soon.
Not really surprised, as he always summers across the river. Mostly was worried due to the amount of skull plate loss and disappearing at the same time.
Sure, I couldn't care less about a team name. I'd be happy with Team 15 lol I have been working on some AVI's already but they are on my work computer. I'll post em Monday
We haven't picked anything, everyone seems to be fairly indifferent on the subject thus far... The suggestions have been Whitetail Widowmakers Booner Assasins (already used? have to check) Raging Antlerholics (I kinda like this one) or we can always just go by .... Team 15 lol any other ideas?
