Its all about person preference and experiences you have had with the BH's. I have shot both the rage(not the xtreme) and the killzone and have killed whitetails with both. Killzone is 2in cut the xtreme is 2.3 in cut , IMO 2in is almost to big and i wouldnt go any bigger than that. They both fly like field tips, both are sharp, and ive seen both get good penetration. One thing that stands out to me thats different about the killzone is how it closes up and the blades are secure compared to the regular rages that would open with a flick of the finger to your arrow, The Xtremes have some sort of locking collar that may have helped. Xtremes are 50 bucks and the KZ's are around 35 bucks. But comparing the two heads i would go with the Killzones.
Another Killzone vote here! Like the thicker blades of the Killzones much better too! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
Just got my first killzone kill last night on a doe and MAN did it do a number on her, definitely recommend them for sure
Just fine, hit the frozen ground with a pass through, cut the 2 ribs, and the blades are just fine, I am going to clean it out and get everything back in order, but nothing bent, looks just like an opened head in a picture, just has dirt and blood in it ;-)
Just cleaned it back out last night, looks like I just pulled it out of the box, the center screw may be a tad loose, but other than that, this thing looks imaculate
I use Grim Reaper and thier slogan hold true "watch em drop" Even on tough pigs they hammer them down, longest run yet was 40 yards. I have yet to replace a blade even when I buried one in the dirt. I clean them up and check sharpness and they are always Razor sharp. Hands down the toughest most dependable broadhead I've shot in 22 years of bowhunting. If you want proof go to cabelas or Bass pro and look up the reviews for these broadheads. Out of hundreds of reviews The Grim far and away had the fewest complaints of failures. Best of all they fly dead on with field points. I will never shoot another!
I shot the Killzones this year and took an antelope and two deer. Like any broadhead, they will all do the job if the shot placement is good. I liked the huge hole the Killzones made and they open easily on contact but don't open in your quiver or prematurely.
I picked up 2 packs of kill zones this past weekend & am very excited to try them next season. I found them on sale for $25 for a 3 pack + a practice head. I have been a muzzy guy forever but have been curious about the kill zones for a while. One of the deer I shot this season was a perfect shot & he died within 100 yards but the blood trail was non existent so I figure I'd give them a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just picked up some of the Killzones... In the next couple of weeks I will do an actual comparison on my next hog hunt.
