Thinking about getting some new broadheads, just want to hear what everyone has to think and what they use.
Well if your looking to compare two semi-simular broadheads those aren't the ones to compare. The NAP Killzones are kind of simular to the Rage in design. I decided to go with the Killzones this season. I think the design is better and the blades seem much stronger. Here is what I am shooting this year: http://www.bowhunting.com/shopping/...trophy-tip-100gr-2-cut-broadheads__60997.aspx Bowhunting.com also the bloodrunner's in stock: http://www.bowhunting.com/shopping/products/nap-blood-runner-100gr-3-blade-broadhead__60664.aspx I just posted a thread about the rebate that NAP is offering on the Bloodrunners right now too so that is a great deal. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them!
Look into the Killzones like Ferg suggested. If you're wanting to shoot a mechanical, they're a great choice. Kinda like a Rage with all the kinks worked out and no loose dangley blades.
Nothing wrong with either! Proof in these shots! Shot both back to back.... 20 yards....both ran 15 yards and piled up. The RAGE makes a bigger entry hole but the blades are weaker. The NAP BLOODRUNNERS have thicker blades and can be resharpened. Both do their job as long as you do yours! I have killed 10+ with the RAGE 2 Blades. I will try the NAP KillZones this year.
Yeah buddy! I bough this mckenzie travel pro from Walmart for $40. I have 2 of the Rinehart 18-1s but I was shooting the heck out of them with broadheads, so in order to take a bit of the heat off of my 18-1s, I bought this cheap thing. Broadheads passed through on first shot. It's served it's purpose though.
I would also suggest the Killzones. I wish I would have gone that route this year but went with spitfires. I will say the G5 Tekan is an awesome broadhead as well.
I shot the 2 blade Rage for years with alot of kills. They were nice but as mentioned kinds dangly loose blades. I have shot the 3 blade bloodrunners but have killed nothing with them yet. I just purchased 6 killzones a couple weeks ago but havent shot them yet. they seem way sturdier than the rages!
I bought the NAP bloodrunners this year, ****s had them on clearence for 19.99$ for the 4 packs. i put them on my new Easton Bloodlines and was making sure my bow was tuned right. They fly really good. this was at 50 yds.
Can't decide from your picture it is more an endorsement for the NAP Bloodrunners or a warning against purchasing Gander Mountain targets!
I would say the killzone is a better broadhead than the rage. Functionally they are the same, but NAP has made improvements that provide better reliability and less issue with quiver-deploying blades. Killzones are a typical "multi-purpose" failure. They serve as both fixed and mechanical, but suck at both.
