Congrats on your deer. I personally am a Rage user and I wont stop any time soon. I haven't had a deer run more than 50yd so far. With that said, every shot except one has been directly in the vitals and has hit heart. The one that wasn't hit a limb I didn't see when trimming the lanes and hit the spine. I was down and had a second Rage shot through her heart within a minute or so. I now pay closer attention to my lanes when I trim them.

I love Rage 2 .... my very 1st Deer a Doe I shot w/ a Rage 2 convinced me .... she was quartering away @ about 35 yards .... I took the shot and was amazed @ the blood trail when I went to recover her ... she couldn't had went more than 30 yards ... I had deer taken w/ a rifle gone farther .... but the amazing thing was what I found when I field dressed her .... the arrow never penetrated her cavity ... after impact it traveled right up her rib cage into her front arm pit .... she wasn't oblique and was slightly quartering away .....

That would convince me to never shoot another. You were very lucky to have hit the artery in the arm pit. Large expandables are notorious for riding along the outside edge of the ribs on a quartering shot. Exactly the reason I wont use them any more.
