As far as I know, the diff. between the 40KE and the reg. rage heads is blade size.

I "think" the heads still weigh the same. If that's the case, there shouldn't be a differential in flight characteristics.

That's correct. The 40KE is still 100 grains.

I wonder if these guys aren't having the old blade opening in flight Rage issue. However, if it's happening every shot, I doubt it.

Mine were flying off with practice heads.

Same for me, I only shot the practice head. I think I will stick to a fixed blade and eliminate any possibility of a mechanical malfunction. All the deer that I've shot with the fixed blade have died, so no sense messin' with it.

    Truer words were never spoken........:tu:

Hey, you even got an "Amen!!!!!" from THE Preacher!!! :woot:
In many ways, I'd have to believe that the problem may possibly be operator error, but agreed, either way, you have to PRACTICE with the stuff you'll be using in the field!!! I have several Slick Tricks with HUNDREDS of shots in Foam, that got re-sharpened and put back in my quiver!!!

Good Lesson learned.....JUST STICK with something that works...... I LOVE my Slick Tricks, best flying BH out there for me with ANY of my set-ups. I actually feel as confident with a Slick Trick on the tip of my arrow as I do with a FP!!!

So much for that theory then. LOL

I wonder if Rage had a bad batch that were not aligning correctly. Did anyone try a spin test on the trouble heads? It's obviously not a tuning issue since other fixed heads are flying well.
