I would say stick to fixed, just my opinion though given your draw length and weight.

I'm a fixed fan personally, but especially in your case with the short draw length and lower drawer weight. Good luck out there!

In my opinion the low KE Rage advertising is absurd and causes a lot of lost animals. Stay with a good fixed blade head with your setup. I also dont understand why people want to change away from something proven in the field.

I shoot rage, but I'm shooting 70lbs at 29.5" draw with about 84 lbs of KE. I agree w. the others and would recommend sticking w. the fixed broadhead in your case.

Not trying to change anyone's mind, but my wife is shooting a light weight poundage bow.. And with that, I need her to have the best entry wound possible to help with the bloodtrail.. If she is not getting a pass thru, I do not want the arrow plugging the entrance hole.. She shoots the 2 blade 100 grain Rage broadheads.. When the arrow does not pass thru, the 2 inch slit entrance hole helps alot with the bloodtrail.. Just our experience with a bow that will not blow thru and leave massive entrance and exit holes..

Don't get me worng, I shot Muzzy's for many years and they are AWSOME... It just helps a little more blood hit the ground.. A bigger entrance hole will drop more blood especially if the arrow is protruding out the entrance hole..

Hope that helps, just trying to tell our experiences.. It may not work for everyone.. Thats what makes hunting awsome.. Many ways to harvest a deer and we are all happy.. Good luck, let us know.. Good Huntin..

A pass through is always better than an arrow stuck in the deer, no matter what head style you use. A low poundage bow should be used with a fixed blade, cut on contact style head for best penetration and greatest opportunity for a pass through. That has been proven time and again since the days of Fred Bear.

I have some experience with this. My wife also shoots a pse chaos at 26inch draw and 45lb weight. We experimented with some different heads when she got started and im sad to say that she shot 2 does with the rage 40ke and we never found either one. She wasnt getting good penetration. She shot a 6pt and a doe last year with a g5 montec and both fell within sight. I would definitely recommend a cut on contact head. And make sure its razor sharp. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you have had a lot of success with your current setup, I think you made the right decision to stick with it. Don't fall into the marketing craze of all this new equipment if your current equipment is slaying the deer.

I used muzzy 4 blades last year shot my first bow buck with it a 130 inch nontypical 13 pointer and he ran 70 yards and just piled up, I heard a him crash but didnt see him go down because he ran into some thick brush, I hit him high too only clipping one lung and the liver i believe. the only reason I am switching to slick tricks is because the muzzys flew like S*** but I love the four blade.

I would suggest shoot a fixed blade broadhead, it would handle better at that weight.
