I shoot all my deer with them. I actually shot a doe last night with them, she ran about 30 yards and died. There was blood everywhere. As long as you have enough kinetic energy, they are a great broadhead IMO

I just bought some yesterday; I have always wanted to try them and finally made the decision. I bought the 2 blade Rage. I sat in the blind last night and was going to stick a doe if I got a shot but never had anything close enough. I can't wait to put a Rage in the cage! Let me know how they work if you stick something with them.

I wouldnt use them when shooting out of a blind unless you know you're not gonna have to shoot through the material. Them being a mechanical broadhead they will expand when passing through the blind's material, giving you an off target shot. Just a heads up.

I shot a doe on Oct 1st and it looked like someone took a bucket of blood and dumped it out all over the ground all the way to the deer50 yards away.

Thanks, I had accounted for this and opened the window all the way. I leave all windows closed but keep 3 open so the blind is dark on the inside and they can't see me.

I use Rage 3-blade 100 gr and somebody would have to pay me a LOT of money to shoot anything else. Me, my Dad, and both my brothers all shoot them. They leave a VERY impressive entry wound and quite the blood trail. It's really what you yourself like that matters, but I swear by em :)

How so? I'm not trying to get a debate going, I'm just curious what happened to make you say that.

If they deploy, it does the job and it does it well..... On the other hand, both my buddy and I shots does last year and the broadhead didn't deploy! found the arrow both times with little blood on it and the blades were still behind the o ring, I'm guessing they got jammed? Neither one of the deer had any blood trail what so ever! Might as well have shot a feild point.... After the second time this happened I figured that it wasn't just a coincidence and decided to switch to Muzzy 3 blades and haven't had a problem since!

Shot 21 in a row so far without losing one since switching to Rage. Don't be nervous. I would be nervous shooting anything else!

Sounds a little fishy..........between two of my buddies and me we have killed over 40 with a rage 2 blade and never experienced what you are describing. But, you and your buddy both did.....?

I use the two and three blade both work great for me shot a doe last year with a three blade 1 blade didn't open but she still had the biggest blood trail I've ever seen I double lunged her so I think as long as you make a good shot it shouldn't matter

Been shooting them for a while and really like them. My son shot them until this year and he switched to bloodrunner 2 blade.

As always, it's shot placement, and the only way to get that is practice practice practice.....

Glad to meet you!It is a comical tale:Ivan came home with a bloody nose and his mother asked, "What happened?" "A kid bit me," replied Ivan.
"Would you recognize him if you saw him again?" asked his mother.
"I'd know him any where," said Ivan. "I have his ear in my pocket."

I have heard similar stories about Rage broadheads not deploying. They may work most of the time but that one time they don't and one shoots at a buck of a lifetime you may wish you had a fixed blade. Is it really necessary to have over a 2 inch hole anyway?? ITS ALL ABOUT SHOT PLACEMENT ANYWAY. I have used NAP Thunderheads for years and never had a problem. In fact Im looking into those Slick Tricks. My dad shot a doe this morning with his crossbow and used the Slick Trick 100 grain magnums and put a nice big hole in that deer. They will still fly like field points.

I haven't heard about them not deploying, but i've heard of the blades breaking easily. I was stuck between the rages and the bloodrunners last year when i was looking for new broadheads. The rages are definitely cold blooded killers, but i went with the bloodrunners just because the technology seemed a little more airtight IMO. most of the people i hunt with shoot rages and i've seen what they do. A great broadhead hands down, but i would rather shoot a broadhead that "cuts no matter what" like the bloodrunner ads say over something that has a possibility of breaking.
