I heard people put rubberbands to Rage broadheads from opening up is this a good way to keep them shut?

Absolutely. Dental floss tied around the center works very well too. But, I think they've tweaked something just a little bit this year. The 2 packs I just bought snapped in pretty tight. I don't think they're gonna come open.

Oh, I'll use dental floss then but then when the rage hits something hard the blades will just cut the dental floss?

just make sure you have new O rings on them this year and they should be fine...you can now buy a tube of O rings at BASS Pro for 8$ 40 qty. they should be secure if you feel it lock in..

I snag a few from my dentist and they work great and much thinner then above.
But with that being said the new ones this year stay locked better according to Rage representives at the ATA show.

I have never put a band around them before. This year I bought some snypers on sale at bass pro and there was a bunch of the thin bands in there. I thought why not put them around my Rage's. I put them where Jeff has them in the photo above, not the green lines but same as the actual bands. Is this where they should be???

Last year I put them out where Jeff had them and had no problems.

I think I can rig them up with some smaller rubberbands if I have some, but if I can't find any at home I'll just use a tiny amount of floss. I figure it'd still cut through the floss.

There is no need to replace the Oring's, if you turn them an eigth of a turn it will solve your problems.

    Rage 2-Blade Issues

I was having problems getting my Rage 2-blades to group consistently this year. Sometimes they were hitting dead on and other times they were 6in left or right and 4in low; at only 20 yards. So I called my local shop and learned that Rage 2 blades are very accurate broadheads; as long as you're shooting under 300 fps with your actual hunting setup. This is why they shot great out of my Drenalin (265 fps) the last 2+ years, and won't pattern worth 2 cents out of my Monster (340 fps). I switched to The Reign broadheads, and seem to have the problem solved. I really liked the big wound channels from the Rage, but that doesn't do me much good if I'm not accurate! :D Anybody else out there heard anything on this? Just like to get some feedback...
