ATA go'ers or anyone that might quite possibly know...do they have anything new to offer in 2011?

    Thanks

I heard they have a new 2 blade model made from plutonium. $899.99 for a 3 pack and practice head. I don't know how much truth there is to that though. Maybe someone that attended the ATA can verify?

What is great about the plutonium heads is that if the wound doesn't kill the deer the radioactive matter will at some point. Great idea by Rage. Now we can expand the kill zone to "kills everything within 100 yards"

There are obviously some risks that come with using these heads. They are also working with Predator to make a radioactive suit in Brown Deception and Fall Gray. The current white or yellow suits would give you the dreaded "blob" profile in the tree. No one wants that.

The good news is, these hits will kill deer deader than anything we've see before. Not sure if the meat will be usable, but who cares. Its all about the bone!

Its like throwing a nuclear bomb through an animal!

Rumor has it that Rage is currently working on a hunter/deer radioactive decontamination kit that you can use with your outdoor shower system. This will allow the meat to become usable and will also remove any type of "gamey" taste the venison might have. The only problem is that you can't let you deer go overnight, you have to recover and get under the shower within 90 min. If they get this figured out there is no reason NOT to use these heads.

The upside is that you don't need to let them go overnight anymore because you can just follow the green glow to track them.

I also heard there will be a Crush/Bone Collector edition that will be available for $919.99.

This will kill the Archery industry though - as shooting 400fps will no longer matter...these plutonium models only require 10KE to open properly for a nuclear kill.

Yeah, but how can you convince yourself you are better than other archers if your bow isn't faster? Having the fastest bow will still be cool...and its all about being cool.

    Vito:

You left out dead in the hand (after the shot).

    That's REALLY important, too.

    Carry on.

I actually never bothered to check out Rage's booth so I can't help you there, I'm not much of a fan.
