Ok, i havent killed anything with these except 1 turkey. I my bow is tuned in proper and has tight groups with my field points. I use the practice tip and it flies true. I now have enough practice tips to shoot 5 at a time and i
notice my group opening up only with the Rage practice tips? So i wanted to try the actual mechanical tip to see if it flies as the practice one did, And yes they did.

BUT.. out of 7 shots into a 3d deer the blades fully opened only once?

1st shot all blades remained closed.
2nd shot 1 blade deployed, 2 remained closed
    3rd shot no blades deployed
    4th shot ALL blades deployed
    5th shot no blades deployed
    6th shot 2 blades deployed
    7th shot 1 blade deployed

Now it the Foam deer effecting this? maybe to soft etc? im really leaning towards fixed. only 10 days left till
    season opener.

Next question. Since I BELIEVE my bow is properly tuned. if i change to fixed and they are off from my aiming point, do i only need to chase the arrows with my sights? or do i have to do a new tune? moving my rest knock point etc??? Im hoping its only a sight change..

    Thanks in advance

Would like to know what your looking at. How can you tell if the blades are or aren't opening. If you are shooting all the way though the 3D target you should be able to tell if its getting clogged up with foam.

Sounds to be like you lack confidence in your broadhead. If this is the case get something else.

The 3D target is going to be harder than deer's flesh. Your broadheads SHOULD be opening.

Ideally, you want your BHs and FPs to hit the same exact spot. Achieving this can sometimes be difficult and you may want to consider moving your sights. You don't want to lose your confidence this close to the season.

You could give it a shot though. If your rest has hash marks, just record it's current setting and make adjustments. If you don't have any luck, move it back to its current position and just adjust your sights.

Tip: Instead of raising or lowering the nocking point, just do the opposite of what it says to the rest.

Lower nocking point = raise rest
Raise nocking point = lower rest

yes they do go through them, and NO they are not clogged with foam. I dont know maybe its different when they hit a actual deer. I maybe over thinking and making myself nuts...
