Hey yall, i currently shoot Rage 2 blade broadheads and i like them a lot. They leave a huge hole and truly fly like a field tip. Only thing im not a fan of is the O-rings. Are the NAP Killzones the answer? How do they compare to the Rage by wound channel, field tip accurate, and do the blades stay in place while in flight until impact?

I shot the 100 grain trophy tip Killzones last season, and they flew just fine for me. They hit smack dead right along with my field points. The blades stay put until impact. I took a buck with this broadhead last November, and he went down not more than 30 yards after impact. The wound the Killzone inflicted was nothing short of impressive, and massive. Needless to say, I will be using them again this year.

I have successfully hunted and taken deer with several different fixed blade broadheads over the years, but the entry/exit wound and quick recovery after the shot cannot compare to the Killzone. I am a Thunderhead fan too, but after seeing 2 deer taken with Killzones last year, I am sticking with them. Quick and humane.......just what I am after.

I shot rage for quite some time. Loved how they flew, and the damage they inflicted. But, they were always opening in my quiver or if I bumped a tree while walking they would open. It drove me nuts. 2 years ago I switched to the killzones, 4 weeks later I got to test them out on the biggest buck of my life. Clean pass through, HUGE wound channel and a blood trail that was insane. The buck only went about 25 yards. I have no intentions of trying anything else.

That said, I never had a rage fail in flight, or fail to open. They are a good head, just annoying and imo more prone to open before the shot even goes.

I shot Rage's for years and killed a lot of deer with them. I started adding an extra band to the front of the head to keep them closed and that fixed the problem with them.

I finally ran out of the Rages and decided to try the NAP's last year. They are sharper, I don't need the extra band, and otherwise perform exactly the same. I won't likely change anytime soon unless the NAP's are discontinued.

I shoot Rage broadheads and I loved them too. I was so glad to see them go to the Shock Collar. I hated the O-ring and that is why I no longer shoot the original Rage 2 Blades. I shoot the Rage Extreme on my Z7 Magnum and the Rage Hypodermics on my Creed. I have had great success with both.

I have shot them both but prefer the kill zone due to the fact there are no o-rings. They operate on the same principles and will cut the same size holes. I personally think the blades on the NAP are sharper but both will kill just as easily. If I went to the store and all they have is rages I would buy them if they had both I would get the kill zone. Just my preference for simple reasons. Hope that helps

Killzones all the way, rages deployment system is not the best, and I don't want to have to worry about my blades opening when I walk to the stand. I have harvested more then a couple deer with them and have had nothing but stellar results.
