I did an all day sit yesterday and had 3 bucks come to the rattling horns. The 3rd was a large bodied mature deer with a strong left side with 5 points and funky non typical right side. He came in fast right after rattling to the west of me looking hard for the noise. He became uninterested fast when he didn't see anything and kept walking to my north. When he was about 60 yards away I grunted he immediately turned and came straight back. He came to 22 yards straight downwind of me and stopped with his vitals blocked by a tree. Then up went his nose and with a good smell of me he was gone. This has been a rough season for me I can't catch a break with the wind.
Stuck a skin head this evening. I put a decent shot on her... thought i would find her piled up within 100yds. Nope... this had to be the longest track job of my life. Well over 1500 yds... smh.. she was a resilient one.. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Well fellas idk if you've been looking at the live from stand thread but here's update. Went out over the weekend Friday night, Saturday morning and night and Sunday night. Friday night had a doe a 2 little ones at 30 yard but could never get a good shot. Had bigger doe at full draw but she was slowly walking and never stopped. Should of had her at 25 yards but for some reason I double checked range and by time got release back on she was moving again. Saturday night sat in stand I hadn't yet all year but kept seeing deer out in front of it. Didn't see much until about dark and had a little 8 point buck come out. I noticed he was limping so grabbed my bow with the intention of taking the shot since he was hurt. He started working down the edge of the feild and got to about 15 yards and stopped perfectly broadside. I was at full draw for what seemed like forever with him looking right at me I thought. He took a few steps and turned out he wasn't really limping that bad so I decided not to take the shot even with lots of opportunities. Still kinda goin back and fourth over whole thing but he was 120 at very most and there's bigger out here. Had to work this morning so didn't make it out but went out this morning and only ended up seeing 3 doe, on at about 400 yards and other two at 100 or so right at dark. But the bright side is I'm on vacation all week except might haveta work Friday morning but shotgun season starts then so won't be bowhunting anyway. I'll try to update on here this week but alot of times I post on the other thread while out it anybody is wondering what's goin on. Good luck fellas, nice job on the doe Dogfish. Edit: I checked cams other day and finally started getting some good pics so I'll put some on here once get them loaded up. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Well went out this evening passed on a young 6 Pt when I was still hunting to my stand. Tried to get in shooting range of group of turkeys. Then heard some grunting in the evening but no slick heads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Day 1 of vacation started off good. This morning saw about 10 deer but only 2 bucks, little 6 that was chasing and a spike. Stayed until little after 10 then got down. Idk if that was right mover or not with all the action but it had been 45 to hour since saw anything. This afternoon wasn't near as good. Didn't see anything until climbed down 5 or 10 mins before dark and ended up seeing three doe across creek. Got alarms set and hopefully heading out morning. Debated sleeping in and heading in around 9 or 10 and sitting till dark but idk with how warm it's supposed to be. I'll keep you guys updated. Hopefully something will come together. Out of all the deer this morning most were within 30 yards but no shot in the timber. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
I am sad to report that after hard hunting in a weeks time and putting 4 shooters in range, I finally was able to get a shot at one of them. unfortunantly I did not find him. He was a non typical. Im sick about it!
Shot a doe tonight, haven't got her yet but pretty sure she's down Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
I've been there too. Sometimes that's just the way it goes I guess. Hopefully he turns up on camera again or hopefully you find the carcass for closure, at the very least.
Got her, she didn't really go far after taking out all the zig zags haha. Hit about midway up on right side and came out about armpit. 20 yard shot. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Just to let ya know noticed on scorecard a time is needed to have your doe entered. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
