Got picked out of the tree by a doe and a fawn. There was another deer with them that I assume was a doe but I couldn't tell. Heading back out for the evening hunt.
Didn't go out this afternoon. I had a prior obligation I was going to blow off but decided I couldn't do it. I'll be back in the woods in the morning though. Not too sure where. The wind is out of the East which is weird for this area. It works well for the same stand I was in today but I don't know if I want to hunt there again. If it had any south in it I'd be golden but it's looking like everything from ENE to NNE. I'll probably go back to the same area because its a ridiculously easy walk (20 yards into the woods) and its the least invasive. It's too early in the season to be going deep.
Well pulled 3 cards out of 4 and moved all 3 and this is all I got , older bucks are going nocturnal now and have broke away from the bachelor groups. Now the chess game begins. On a side note I got a lot of doe pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First stand is up now gotta buy a new climber and this field is going to be a good plot next year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Didn't see anything this morning. I'm out on state land right now. Haven't seen anything yet. I'll be out again in the morning, as well.
New buck is looking good, Dog. Don't worry about not seeing anything yet, Chris, you're early in the season and public land is a pain. Vanfossen, it looks like you have yourself a pretty sweet spot. Are those the caliber of deer you like to hunt?
I got a week left. Taking out corn now, checking food plots/cameras and tweaking stands. Ill post up some pictures when i get back. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Had a spike in velvet come hang out at about 8 yards for a while. No shooters though. TONS of coyotes. I'm gonna have to do something about them this winter.
Well I sat opening day in the evening. Saw 1 doe with 2 yearlings. Probably wont sit this spot till we get into middle of October. Had no acorns and my pictures went way down. It was first time ever sitting this spot early season and I wanted to see if they used the area. Well I got my answer so I know to leave it alone until the leaves are down.
I hope he repeats this opening day... havent had him on camera durning shooting hrs since he first showed up Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

4 Days, 12 Hours until opening day, I am so freaking pumped. Pulled card in the camera, nothing. Most likely a camera issue, I saw some pretty fresh tracks around the camera, so that is good. Weather is supposed to be warm, pumped about that, but I'll be on the stand anyway. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I can drop a doe on opeing day.
