I'll sometimes shoot does in the early season. I won't shoot them after Halloween though in case they're pregnant with a buck.

    Forgot to add deer picture.
This is the only deer I shot, I let a lot of little ones walk and never had a chance on a good buck. So I took this old fat doe. She was huge and is at the top of my favorite deer list.Took her at 30 yards from a stool on the ground. Not easy getting an old doe, and she almost busted me, but I was already drawn and sighted on her.

I usually try to take a doe early and then one later on. I shotgun hunt too so if don't get one with the bow I'll knock a few down 2nd season. After about last week of October until middle to late Nov won't shoot any hoping more for a buck to walk by.

I wish I could shoot a doe. That's all we saw.

I'll will some of my hunts will be in the metro zone so that means unlimited doe tags. Plus I could buy a bonus tag for the permit area I live in.

Ill take a doe when the time is right. I didnt kill anything last year...was too picky. Not for lack of opportunity.

Sucks to be you. Thats what my family lives off of besides goose/duck meat. Nothing like a deer that has been hung for 5+ days to age.

My deer processor charges 70$ to let a deer sit for 5+ days and to do a basic butcher and package for the freezer (vacuum sealed).

I lived off duck, goose, turkey, and deer. Then I moved in with my fiancé and now we buy chicken. She loves venison buts isn't big on even trying the others. I do all my own processing myself. I have a spare freezer with a thermocontrol so I can set it as a fridge after the deer hangs for a week. I just quarter then and hang them from the racks. Right now there's about. 8 ducks I froze for keeping the dog up on his training but I'm gonna have to make room soon.

These are the 4 mature bucks on my farm right now showing up on the regular. Top 2 are new 3 years olds and the bottom 2 ive been hunting for 3 years each.

Ive glassed 2 more mature bucks from the road that i havnt got on camera yet as well. This time of year when i get the bait out the deer start becoming more photogenic.

Not monsters by any stretch. 125"-145" bucks, which im perfectly okay with.

Weve had 200" deer in the past but the last one was 4-5 years ago.

The biggest deer I've ever shot was 121ish. Those are all monsters to me haha. I guess it's relative.

I'll be picking up a couple of maps tomorrow and we'll be camping over the weekend in the area I hunted my last days off.
